Outbuilding with washing machine available on request. . Sitting-out area with BBQ. 13-acre grounds (shared with owner). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times, sheep country. Stabling for horses. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply from a bore hole. . The Groom’s Room has been restored to a good standard and offers great accommodation for couples, small families or friends alike, with an open plan living space with patio doors overlooking the paddock and surrounding countryside. It is situated on the owner’s stud farm and the property overlooks a paddock with the owner’s pet sheep and horses in. There is a paddock to exercise your dogs in and you can also bring your own horses as there is plenty of stabling here with lots of places to hack out (stabling is at cost, by direct arrangement with owners).
There is plenty to do in the area whether you are walking or cycling. BikePark Wales is approximately 8 miles from the property and hosts some of the best mountain biking routes in the world. For those who enjoy walking then Garwnant Visitors Centre in the Brecon Beacons is a great place to take the kids - plenty of walks to be had and a great play park. Dare Valley Park is a great place for taking in the nature and listening to the birds with 500 acres of pond dipping. The property is also within a short distance of the Ystradfellte waterfalls and Penyfan. If you would like to spend an afternoon shopping, then the retail park at Cyfarthfar has plenty of shops for you to peruse. If you want to leave the car behind, the city of Cardiff is easily accessible by train from Aberdare for a day out. For those looking for watersports or a trip to the beach, Barry Island is 25 miles from the property. Whatever you decide to do this converted stables is greatly placed for all activites. Shop, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
