Bach Cottage, Builth Wells

Bach is one of two converted self- catering cottages on a remote farmstead in the Cambrian mountains. This is the perfect place to stay for hiking, hill walking, mountain biking and horse riding or to just enjoy the peace, tranquillity, thousands of sheep and mountain ponies along with the masses of wildlife.

The picturesque scenic drives and massive reservoirs of the Elan Valley are a easy drive away, making for a lovely day out in this wild little known area of Mid Wales or drive over to Builth Wells where there are very often events at The Royal Welsh Showground.

Cottage accommodation:

The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker and hob, microwave and fridge with a freezer.

The washing machine is in the utility room is both cottages.

The sitting room has sofa and chairs, free channel Sky TV and DVD. There is also a good quality sofa bed in the sitting room if needed. This is a very nice barn conversion (very difficult to take a decent photograph) from which to enjoy the tranquillity of Mid Wales, The Cambrian Mountains and the Brecon Beacons.

Upstairs to the bedroom with a comfortable double bed and a shower room (shower, handbasin and toilet).

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome - but please be aware there are thousands of sheep roaming over the hillside, with March and April being the main lambing season in the area.

Great dark skies - ideal for stargazing

Mobile Reception - Bach Cottage is an ultimate get a away from it all - as this holiday cottage is tucked away in a remote valley there is NO mobile reception but the farmhouse telephone can be used in emergencies.

Out and about Get Active - Bach cottage offers secure garage storage for mountain bikes and canoes and the shared utility room facility - with a separate wet room - is ideal after muddy adventures.

The Royal Welsh Showground which hosts many events throughout the year from Agricultural shows to Antiques fairs is only a 20 minute drive away. The Wyeside Cinema and Theatre centre offers an interesting choice of evening entertainment whilst the town of Builth Wells offers a choice of unusual and independannt shops.

Can also be booked with Mawr Cottage to sleep a family of 5.
