For a relaxing, romantic glamping holiday, book Cui Shepherds Hut. It's a beautiful, locally-crafted shepherd's hut, wonderfully secluded in its own field on the outskirts of Talybont, in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The hut itself is charming - you'll find a toasty wood-burning fire, comfy double bed and relaxing sitting area. The situation is delightful. Perfectly rural and private, your neighbours will be ponies in the next door field. There's little better than al fresco cooking on the fire pit after a long day in the mountains.
A private luxury shower room, kitchen and dining area are just 10m away from the shepherds hut.
It is up a quiet lane close to the popular village of Talybont (with its 4 pubs, shop & post office, coffee shop). It's a pretty shepherd's hut, with a view over the meadows where the Welsh Mountain ponies graze and way over the Usk Valley to The Allt and the Black Mountains.
From the door, you can walk down to the pretty brook running through the valley or onto Taff Trail used by walkers and mountain bikers, The Henry Vaughan Walk along The Brinoyre Tram Road or any other of a number of footpaths leading up to the Beacons. Take/ hire a kayak and paddle along the canal, or hire a mountain bike in the village and ride some of the fantastic mountain bike trails or testing road bike routes.
