Pen Y Lodge, Builth Wells

Glamorgan. Sleeps up to 2

Pen y Lodge is a swish, stylish, red brick holiday cottage with a private garden on the outskirts of Builth Wells. It's perfect for couples to explore the area which is famed for mountain biking, walking and fishing. Pen y Lodge has lovely views over the valley. It's just a few minutes into market town of Builth Wells which has plenty going on, with the River Wye, the thriving Wyeside Arts Club, the Royal Welsh Showground and the nearby Elan Valley.

The Accommodation

Sleeps 2/3 - 1 Double

The smart kitchen has a great breakfast bar, and everything you'll need; an electric cooker, microwave, fridge with a freezer box, washing machine.

Sofas and chairs (sofa can be made into double bed) and a very large cinema screen TV with freeview and blueray DVD and a good selection of films etc. Doors lead out to a terrace with garden furniture.

Upstairs to a pretty bedroom with a double bed and windows leading out to a "Juliet" balcony with fabulous views over a small farmyard and over the roof tops of Builth Wells to the hills beyond.

A shower room - with a shower, hand basin and toilet.

The Area

It's a short walk into town and with safe and secure parking right beside the door. Pen y Lodge is an ideal cottage to explore the beautiful Mid Wales area, with the Brecon Beacons to the south, and the stunning, and wonderfully empty, Elan Valley to the north (one spring day with bluebells, wild garlic and primroses covering the roadside banks - we drove for 20 minutes and passed only 2 cars along the narrow lanes). The River Wye has fabulous fishing (get your tickets from Wye & Usk Foundation) and is perfect for canoeing.
