Mary's Cottage, Brecon

Brecon Beacons. Sleeps up to 2

Escape to this idyllic and romantic little cottage. Relax in front of the roaring fire, enjoy the sweet little fully enclosed garden - so safe for dogs. Really this cottage ticks all the boxes for a relaxing place to stay but does have steep stairs! A pretty and newly fenced enclosed garden behind the cottage.

Mary's Cottage has recently been completely re-decorated, it feels very fresh and looks pretty - with the cosy open fire - a perfect romantic bolt hole for just two. Very close to the foothills of the Brecon Beacon, with wonderful walks up Fan-y-Big, Cribyn and Pen-y-Fan right from the door. For an easier walk there are plenty of footpaths and bridleways from the village. Good for cycle on the roads, mountain bike on the great trails or enjoy a leisurely boat trip on the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal and the River Usk are both close by.

The lovely Market Town of Brecon is only 3 miles away. Further afield, visit the pretty towns of Hay on Wye (35 minutes drive) and Crickhowell (15 minutes) with their bookshops and independent boutiques.

Cottage Accommodation - sleeps 2, 1 bedroom.

This quaint little cottage for two is well equipped, and comfortable. The kitchen has slate floors, an electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and a fridge (sorry no freezer). Clever storage includes a boot hole below the stairs. The living room has an antique dining table, pretty re-upholstered sofa and chairs with an elegant Persian rug. The open fire with a good supply of logs ensures this is a cosy retreat for two people.

Up a VERY STEEP flight of carpeted ladder stairs to:

Bedroom 1: A light and bright double bedroom with "Orla Kiely" bedlinen.

Bathroom: The limestone-tiled bathroom has a newly installed shower, a handbasin, toilet and a bath.

Outside is a terrace overlooking a pretty enclosed cottage garden with a terrace with table and chairs and a BBQ, flower beds and a lawn and in season a glorious Magnolia Tree.
