Cwm Bach Barn is at the bottom of the garden of Cwm Bach Farmhouse and is completely independent with its own access; the properties can be used independently, there is parking outside the barn gates on the field, or can be used together with the farmhouse if two families or perhaps grand parents wish to holiday together with a bit of their own space. The barn and the farmhouse are set down a private track (suitable for all vehicles) in several acres of water meadows with two ponds and a stream running through the fields. There is a sheltered little garden around the barn and a footpath straight up the valley to Llangattock Mountain where a pair of resident Peregrine Falcons nest. This is also an SSSI called Craig y Cilliau, and an excellent location for climbers and a famous network of caves just up the valley. As featured on ITV's Holiday Home Sweet Home.

The kitchen consists of a hand built oak kitchen with a double electric oven and a halogen hob, microwave, washing machine, toaster, fridge and a freezer. There is an area just inside the door for hanging coats hats and storing boots.
The sitting room has a high ceiling with beams, a very efficient and modern Jotul wood burning stove. A lovely slate floor throughout. Two sets of large patio doors gives this room a lot of light and character. There are two comfortable sofas. Large Smart TV.
Access to the bedroom is up a flight of stone stairs with a wooden handrail.
Bedroom 1: has a king size bed, the original old oak beams, wooden floor boards and original doors, leading off this room is a bathroom with a bath with shower over, handbasin and toilet.

The craggy hillside behind the cottage is a SSSI called Craig-y-Cilliau and attracts a wealth of wildlife with woodpeckers, buzzards, sparrow hawks and peregrine falcons to name a few birds. The caves of Agen Allwedd are higher up the hillside and very popular with cavers. (Access to the caves is with a key from the Caving Association). The River Usk is easily accessible in Crickhowell, the Brecon and Monmouthshire canal runs close to the farm and there is the historic old tram line now a designated foot path. This cottage is ideal for walking with foot paths right from the door. Also lovely spot for complete peace and quiet being well off any road and yet being within easy reach of the villages of Llangattock and Crickhowell with its good supply of shops, pubs and restaurants.
