Cottage in South Wales, Bettws Newydd

Gwent. Sleeps up to 2

There is no need to jump in the car to head out for a wander, simply find your way to the River Usk and step out onto the Usk Valley Walk. For tales of years gone by and a dose of history, travel 6 miles to Raglan Castle and enjoy a day out before devouring a picnic or a bite to eat from the café. With plenty to keep you entertained throughout the day you ll look forward to having this wonderful abode with its contemporary interior to return home to each evening. This single storey oak framed cottage is fantastically decorated with exposed beams lining the ceiling and tranquil tones creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout. The narrow yet sleek kitchen invites the chef amongst you to whip up a storm and experiment with flavours to serve up at the dining table which has plenty of room for two. Stepping down two steps, dine in style then sink into comfortable sofas in the lounge/diner where underfloor heating keeps the flagstone floor warm and cosy. Pluck a book from the bookcase or switch on the TV and unwind, if the sun shines through open the patio doors and let the breeze inside. Character flows through into the bedroom, a lovely spot in which to drift off and dream or put your feet up in the armchair. Freshen up in the wet room style shower room and get set for the day ahead. Majestic oak and horse chestnut trees dot the garden which is beautifully kept. Head up the blossom lined driveway when arriving at the lodge which sits in 15 acres of the owner s garden where their property can also be found. Relax on the private patio, fire up the BBQ and watch your four legged friend chase their tail under the sun. Ample off road parking is available.
