Cottage in Hackforth, (Swaledale), North Yorkshire, England - Peaceful location in a rural setting, overlooking North Yorkshire's countryside.
Mullion Cottage is a lovely 18th century rural home. Sleeping 6 guests in comfort. Underfloor heating throughout downstairs is ably supported by two log burning stoves, one at each end of the property. Dating back to the mid 18th century and renovated in 2015, this property has lost none of it's original charm. Solid stone hearths give way to a solid wood floor leading to an open plan kitchen/dining area.
Garden furniture and barbeque are provided. The secluded rear garden and patio area are south westerly facing and trap the last of the sun rays. The main bedroom has exposed beams and an en-suite shower room. The remaining two bedrooms, also with their share of exposed beams share the family bathroom. All bedrooms face the front of the house, catching the morning sun and overlook fields to the hills in the distance. A super location for hiking and biking around the North Yorkshire countryside. Parking for two cars on the drive, with a separate secure garage for bikes.
Located in Bedale, this cottage is in a rural area. The Bridge Gallery and Georgian Theatre Royal are cultural highlights, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit Richmond Market Place and The Station. Ripley Ice Cream and Thorp Perrow Arboretum are also worth visiting.
