This 230 year old Grade II listed cottage is on the east side of the estuary with wonderful views over the harbour, very close to the 199 steps which lead up to the Abbey and St Mary's Parish Church. A tall thin building on four floors it has been recently refurbished by the owners to a high standard and is their own holiday hideaway! An atmospheric cottage with more than a touch of nostalgia, each room has been furnished with care and attention to detail, whilst incorporating the comforts of modern living.

Accommodation:
You enter the cottage at street level into a comfortable lounge with antique fittings. From this room a steep wooden spiral staircase takes you down to a surprisingly spacious below ground kitchen with large pine dining table. A second spiral staircase in the lounge leads up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms each with an antique double bed. One room overlooks Church Street whilst the other has wonderful views over Whitby harbour. The bathroom is on this floor comprising of a shower, toilet and washbasin. Another spiral staircase takes you up again where there is a twin bedded room and a new en-suite bathroom with bath, toilet and washbasin. Great view of the harbour can be seen from this room. As the stairs in this property are steep, the property is NOT suitable for people with mobility problems.

Newly fitted kitchen with undercounter fridge with /freezer compartment, microwave, gas cooker with grill and oven, dishwasher. Colour TV/DVD , gas central heating. Bed linen is provided. Non-smokers only. Sorry, no pets.
