The bedrooms at this Staindrop cottage rest upstairs, offering a double with built-in storage and a bunk room which is perfect for children. The cottage can sleep an additional two on the snug sofa bed, in front of the woodburning stove. You will feel right at home the moment you enter this delightful cottage, bursting with character and charm, with the ground-floor comprising of the open-plan living space. The kitchen boasts all the essentials for a short stay, including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and even a dishwasher, so rustling up your favourite dishes should be no trouble! There is also a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer so you can pop your muddy clothes on a spin following a long ramble. Serve your culinary treats at the dining table before lounging on the sofa with the woodburning stove providing a gentle warmth. There is also a soothing shower room where you can start your morning routine before tackling the day. Pop on your walking boots and venture on a walk along the River Tees, or for those seeking a longer route, follow the Teesdale Way up the valley. Just a few miles away lies the thriving market town of Barnard Castle, offering cute tea rooms and antique shops lining the cobbled streets, making for a great day out for all the family. Make sure you pop in to 'Barney' to buy fresh sourdough bread from the artisan baker or authentic gelato along the high street. Market day is every Wednesday and the fabulous farmers' market the first Saturday of every month.
