1¼ miles from Sampford Courtenay, one of prettiest villages in mid-Devon, with its own indoor swimming pool, is this gorgeous thatched, cottage. Named simply 'The Cottage', this beautiful chocolate box home has been renovated with great care and attention. Inside the lofty, beamed, open-plan living space has a wood burning stove and French windows to a huge decked terrace - just right for sunbathing or outdoor meals. On the ground floor are three bedrooms, all with en suite facilities the master double with a huge bed that demands long lie-ins and easy starts, a second double and a twin. From the terrace are glorious, panoramic views to Dartmoor over the owners' 205 wooded acres. Nearby is the popular village inn, a traditional country pub serving excellent food. Maybe fish for your catch of the day in a local river, or head to the open slopes of Dartmoor for great walking. The bustling town of Okehampton has all you need for your holiday provisions, restaurants, a cinema and leisure centre. Centrally located for exploring Devon, The Cottage is a peaceful base in lovely countryside.
