Picturesque location in this historic village, close to the beautiful ancient church and alms houses. A short walk into the village centre which offers a quaint selection of stores, two character pubs, tea rooms and a fish and chip takeaway. All the town centre amenities of Barnstaple including pannier market, shops, pubs and restaurants are all within a further 5 minute walk. Delightful public footpaths also abound in the area, following the course of Bradiford Water across farmland and through the woodland at Tutshill. The superb surfing sands, championship golf course and nature reserve at Saunton, and the splendour of Exmoor are all within 10 miles.
The cottage has been sympathetically renovated, retaining much of the original character including stripped pine latched doors etc, and is furnished and equipped to a high standard throughout, including gas central heating for year round warmth. Three delightful bedrooms - double with four poster bed and feature fireplace, king-size double with reclaimed wood floor, and bunk bedded (not suitable for adults). Bathroom/wc with three quarter bath, elec power shower and handbasin. Very comfortable living room with open fire in feature fireplace, original wood floor, wall mounted TV and DVD/CD. Separate spacious dining room with large refectory table, wall lights, additional comfortable seating and woodburner. Fully fitted galley kitchen with high quality pine units, gas double oven cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Utility room with wc, auto washing machine and tumble dryer. Rear courtyard with steps up to delightful, fully enclosed garden with lawn and patio with garden furniture and barbecue. Unrestricted roadside parking.
