Ideal location for touring the area and exploring the beautiful local coast paths and unspoilt coves. A five minute drive from all the amenities of the Elizabethan port and market town of Bideford and just three miles from the wide, sandy beach, golf course etc of Westward Ho! The local beaches of Peppercombe and Bucks Mills and places of interest including Clovelly and Hartland Quay are also easily accessible. Several delightful character village pubs serving good food, are all within a five to ten minute drive.
This charming 17th Century cottage has been carefully refurbished and tastefully decorated retaining a wealth of character including original beams and stripped pine doors. Accommodation is therefore cosy and very comfortably furnished and well equipped, with some night storage heating and full double glazing throughout. Three spacious bedrooms - double with fitted wardrobes and TV, full size bunk bedded - both with rural and village views, and ground floor twin bedded room with TV. Bathroom/wc with raised bath, shower attachment and handbasin. Spacious living room with gas woodburner effect stove in inglenook fireplace, original bread oven, window seat, TV, DVD and CD/radio. Attractive kitchen/diner with solid pine table, slate work top, oak units, oil-fired Rayburn and elec cooker with halogen hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Tumble dryer available in garage. Front entrance hall with quarry tiled floor and wonderfully wide original oak door. To the rear the patio leads to newly constructed garden room with large French windows, attractive slate floor, cane furniture, TV and Wi-Fi connection, linking to kitchen - ideal for dining and relaxing in the evening sunshine. New shower room/wc adjacent to garden room. Small front garden with shrubs and climbing plants and delightful enclosed rear garden with raised lawns, outhouse and covered original well (child friendly). Games room with table tennis, table football and darts board, can be used as garage if needed. Off road parking for one car and further free roadside parking adjacent.
