This cosy, fourth floor apartment on the top floor of this beautiful Victorian building, enjoys views over the whole of the town of Scarborough with the sea in the distance. This is a very quiet residential area of Scarborough overlooking the church and the square yet close to all amenities.
There are restaurants, bars, pubs and shops within a short stroll, and the beach is less than a 5 minute walk, or you can catch the South Cliff Tramway which takes you down the side of the cliff from the town to the beach. Walk down through the beautiful and famous Italian Gardens, one of Scarborough’s hidden treasures.

Once on the seafront there are over three miles of flat promenade to walk along, crossing from South Bay to North Bay, separated by the castle on the hilltop. At the far end of the North Bay there is the Sealife Centre as well as Peasholm Park with wooded walks, tumbling stream and lake where boats and pedalos can be hired, both great visits for all the family.

The gently shelving, wide sandy beaches at Scarborough have won several awards for cleanliness. The resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are further south, whilst to the north, Robin Hood’s Bay, Whitby, Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes are all very popular for day trips.

The RSPB bird sanctuary is just along the coast at Bempton Cliffs where thousands of puffins, guillemots and gannets perch along the rocks. There are viewing points from which to spot all the differents breeds of seabirds that arrive every year, as well as the seals that sunbathe on the rocks below.

Within an hour you can be in the medieval, walled city of York with its majestic minster standing proudly in the centre of the city. The narrow cobbled streets, city walls, individual shops and fantastic museums make it an enjoyable day for all age groups. Take a trip on an open top tourist bus or river boat and learn about the history of the famous city. York can also be reached by train direct from Scarborough, so why not leave the car at home? All in all, this apartment is a great base to visit the east coast of Yorkshire. Beach 650 yards. Shop and restaurant 400 yards, pub 500 yards.
