Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, in the heart of magnificent limestone country, and in 6 acres of private land, this is a perfect location for lovers of the coutryside to enjoy a holiday or short break. Comfortably furnished, this holiday property has character features of beams and stone work, with electric storage heating providing a warm cottage to return to after a day out exploring the many areas accessible from here. Walking and cycling can be enjoyed from the doorstep; alternatively there are quiet lanes for scenic country drives. If you are feeling creative then why not try a pottery course at Bentham Pottery? These popular courses can be anything from a half day to a full week and are only a short distance from the cottage. The whole of the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, Forest of Bowland and the west coast are all within easy driving distance, while the market towns of Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale and Bentham are close by as are Ingleton and Clapham, famous for their show caves. The historic city of Lancaster is less than a half hour’s drive and the coastal resorts of Morecambe Bay are approximately an hour away. There is a patio/picnic area overlooking the delightful views for relaxing after a day out exploring. The property also has private parking. Guest wishing to indulge their creative side can choose to take a pottery course with the owner at the fully-equipped studio/workshop close to the cottages, available on a half day, full day or full week basis. In such a beautiful setting, there is sure to be plenty of inspiration.
