Mary's Cottage, Combe Martin

Devon. Sleeps up to 6

Set down its own private country lane, in a secluded position, this charming country cottage is located amidst breath-taking countryside with distant views of the dramatic coastline of North Devon. Whether you are planning a romantic break for two or a family holiday, this retreat has everything you need to feel right at home. Upon entering, you will be welcomed by a country-style kitchen, housing necessary essentials and a dining table where everyone can gather together in the evening. For more quality time, the characterful sitting room hosts a sofa and arm chairs, along with a woodburner and inglenook fireplace, so you can relax amongst the warm ambience with your loved ones. On the ground floor you will also find a cloakroom complete with a wash stand. Take the stairs up to the nicely decorated double bedroom, finished to a high standard with a traditional feel. If you are looking for extra space, perhaps for the children, a family bedroom offers a double bed, as well as children's bunks. And conveniently, both rooms have a delightful en-suite shower room. Resting on an award-winning working farm, and close to a wealth of attractions, there is much to see around the area, from National Trust's Arlington Court, the resorts of Ilfracombe, to Lynton and Lynmouth. A little further afield is the ancient town of Barnstaple, with its Doomsday associations and here you can find a good selection of shops, restaurants and a museum. Or, if you simply prefer to watch the world go by then visit the quiet harbours and picturesque ports or enjoy a leisurely cream tea at a traditional Country Inn before returning to Mary`s Cottage for a well-earned rest. A memorable retreat not to be missed.
