Enjoy a relaxed day rowing or salmon and trout fishing on the River Esk, or why not stop for afternoon tea in the riverside café? Children will love a day beside the river feeding the ducks, or a ride on the miniature steam railway. A five-minute drive brings you into the hustle and bustle of popular Whitby, with its sandy beaches, historic harbour and famous abbey. Explore the cobbled market square and narrow ginnels, climb the 199 steps up to the abbey or enjoy a boat trip along the coastline, all before stopping for the famous fish and chips! Surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the North York Moors and close to the coast, this cottage provides an ideal base for a family holiday.
