Richmond House is a grand property situated in the quaint village of Appledore, with decadent living areas and beautiful views across the estuary from two of the bedrooms. The owners have retained many original features including pine floorboards and a slate fireplace alongside high quality furnishings to give your stay a touch of luxury. The open plan living and dining area is flooded with natural light from large sash windows where you can see glimpses of the estuary. The split level courtyard area at the back is a perfect sun trap and the ideal spot to relax with a glass of wine after a day of exploring the local area. Richmond House is the ideal base for those who love the beach. Take a short 3 mile trip to Westward Ho! where you’ll find two miles of sandy beach, popular with surfers and families. You can catch a ferry between Appledore and Instow at high tide, a small seaside town with a long sandy beach. The estuary is an excellent place for water skiing, sailing and fishing. Children will love crabbing off Appledore Quay at high tide where competitions are held to see who has caught the most.
