Anvil House, built in the early 19th century sits on the Main Street of Golspie on the east coast of Sutherland. Located less than 50 meters from the beach and in the centre of the village this quaint 1 bedroom self-contained cottage is perfect accommodation for a couple looking for a romantic getaway or solo travelers exploring the Scottish Highlands.

A listed building, Anvil House has a spacious bedroom on the upper floor which features original shutters at windows to the front and rear of the property. On the ground floor the front entrance leads directly into the lounge, with comfortable seating and log burner, the perfect spot to enjoy a wee dram at the end of the day or relax with your favourite show on the ** smart TV. The lounge leads through to the kitchen and bathroom towards the rear of the property.

The kitchen is equipped with cooking essentials for your convenience, a cooker, fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer, and features a rustic wooden worktop and ample storage space. There is a small step up to the bathroom which provides a white bathroom suite and over-the-bath shower. Guest towels are provided for your comfort.

To the rear of the property there is a small enclosed patio area, with seating. South-facing, guests can enjoy this little sun-trap on warmer days. Limited on-street parking is available in-front of the property and a public car park is also available nearby.

Dogs are very welcome to stay at Anvil House, though the property lacks a garden, your four-legged friend will be kept busy with the beach close by, lots of nearby woodland adventures, trails and perhaps even a walk to the top of Ben Bhraggie which promises stunning views across the Dornoch Firth.

This cottage is located in Golspie. Big Burn Walk and Golspie Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Ben Bhraggie and Loch Brora.
