The picturesque village of Lochinver lies at the centre of Assynt, an Area of Outstanding Beauty where spectacular coastal roads lead past cliffs, inlets, sandy beaches and quaint crofting villages. The main road leads inland to the beautiful unspoiled wilderness and the nature reserves of Sutherland. Heading north takes you to Cape Wrath or you can head south to Ullapool. The surrounding area provides unrivalled opportunities for climbing, walking, biking, angling and bird watching. The cottage is on the edge of the village and the Highland Stoneware pottery is a short walk down the quiet lane, while the main shops, restaurants, hotels, harbour and visitor centre are less than a mile away on the other side of the bay. On entering this lovely detached cottage, which enjoys a secluded elevated position with beautiful views above Lochinver, you will find yourself in the bright and welcoming lounge/diner. With comfortable seating, TV, hi fi and wood burner, the traditional and cosy lounge is an ideal space to relax, complete with a charming dining area. Heading into the kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Exploring the ground floor further you will find a cosy double bedroom. Heading upstairs to the first floor you will find two further comfy bedrooms with sloping ceilings. There s a twin room, and a double with an en suite WC. You will also find a bathroom complete with shower over the bath and WC. Stepping outside, you can relax and unwind in the pretty enclosed grounds which encompass several wooded acres with a charming sitting area, a lovely lawn with play equipment and paths leading to a viewpoint for you to fully appreciate the spectacular surroundings.
