This traditional cottage is set in a wonderfully remote location, boasting fantastic views of the River Helmsdale and the enchanting countryside surroundings. The area is known as the 'golden eagle' country, and is great for spotting Scotland's rare and varied wildlife. The Forsinard nature reserve is just a short drive away, and there are plenty of breathtaking walks in this fantastic unspoilt area, as well as great locations for river and loch fishing. There s sea angling at Helmsdale, a golf course nearby, and even opportunities to try your hand at gold panning. From here there are links to popular destinations including John O'Groats, Cape Wrath and the Orkney Islands. On entering this delightful and inviting property, you will find yourself in the attractive and welcoming lounge. With TV, seating and a traditional wood burner, this is an ideal space for relaxing in at the end of a fantastic day. Exploring this pretty property further, you will find a charming dining room with wood burner and exposed beams. Moving into the kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with everything you may need including electric oven, fridge, freezer and microwave. Relax and enjoy the beautiful valley views from the bright spacious sun room accessed from the dining room. There is also a shower room, which is where you will also find the washing machine. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you will find three comfortable bedrooms, all of which are set in the eaves of the house, so the ceilings can be quite low. You will find one comfy double bedroom as well as two cosy single rooms. Stepping outside, you can unwind and relax in the cottage s enclosed land to take in the panoramic views from the bench seat provided. There is ample off road parking outside the cottage.
