This picturesque location is ideal for quiet relaxation or as a base to explore the wonderful splendour of Exmoor. The spectacular coastline and deeply cut river valleys in this unique Area of  Outstanding Natural Beauty provides a great number of wonderful walks and there are many famous beauty spots and wide sandy beaches all within a delightful scenic drive including The Valley of the Rocks, The Doone Valley, Porlock Weir, and the Blue Flag sandy surfing beach at Woolacombe. 

This spacious Georgian house is laid out over four floors and is very comfortably furnished and well equipped  with oil fired central heating for warmth in the cooler seasons.  The property was constructed in 1721 and is one of the few older properties that survived the great flood of 1952. It  has many original features including some beams, ornate fireplaces and large sash windows and is furnished and decorated in an informal country style with some distressed furniture and painted wooden floorboards.  Three bedrooms all with wonderful sea views - Most attractive double four poster with ensuite shower room/wc. and further double with ensuite shower room/wc both on second floor.  Twin bedded room with sloping ceilings and vanity unit and bathroom/wc with shower attachment (restricted height due to sloping ceiling) both on third floor. Cloakroom/wc on first floor.  Very spacious first floor living room with large ornate fireplace and open fire, TV, DVD and CD player, and window seat to enjoy the sea views.  Separate dining room on the ground floor with large dining table and feature fireplace.  Good size recently fitted main kitchen with sink and storage units with tiled floor, feature Aga and French windows leading onto patio and decking. Further kitchen/utility area with electric cooker, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.  Additional utility room and storage area with washing machine on first floor. Small rear yard ideal for storage of surfboards and drying. Front fully enclosed and  terraced good sized patio and decked area with lights and garden furniture - may not suit unsupervised children due to steps and levels. Unrestricted roadside parking available just 40 paces from the property gate out of season and overnight parking (4pm-12noon) available all year with permit provided for one car in car park less than 100 yds away.
