Located in the popular seaside town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast, Custard Cottage is a welcoming holiday home for up to five guests in a central location. Spaced across three floors, you’ll have full access to the property during your stay which includes a homely living room, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and a family bathroom. Whether you’re travelling with friends or family, Custard Cottage is a comfortable place to stay when holidaying in Whitby.

The Space:
Custard Cottage has a cosy living room with two comfy sofas and a flat screen TV. The ideal place to relax after a busy day at the beach, you can snuggle up on the sofas and keep up with your favourite shows on Freeview.

Fully equipped for self-catering staycations, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals easily. The dining area includes a white and spacious table with appropriate custard yellow padded seats.

Head upstairs to the first floor and you’ll find the master bedroom and the family bathroom. The master bedroom features a king size bed with a comfortable mattress and premium bed linens.

The family bathroom includes a bath with overhead shower, WC and basin.

On the second floor, you’ll find a double bedroom room, as well as a single room, perfect for if you are enjoying a break with your friends. Both bedrooms feature comfy beds ensuring you have the best night’s sleep possible. Please note that the third bedroom contains a pull out bed which can be made up for you upon request.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

There is free on-street parking on a first come, first served basis. Spaces are not guaranteed.

The Neighborhood:
Custard Cottage is located on the west side of Whitby and is a short 6-minute walk to the town centre.

Walk into the town centre, you’ll discover cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants! Continue along the lively roads towards the sea you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.

Cross over the famous swing bridge and you’ll be on Church Street where you’ll find narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.

Getting Around:
The centre of Whitby is a short six-minute walk from Custard Cottage.

Whitby train station is right in the centre of town so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

This vacation home is located in Whitby. Whitby Pavilion and Whitby Abbey are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Whitby Harbour and Whitby Golf Club. Museum of Victorian Science and The Moors National Park Centre are also worth visiting.
