When dinner is served, settle down at the dining table or if the weather is warm why not venture outside into the garden to dine alfresco? As the sky grows dark, retire inside and unwind on the sofa in the sitting room and flick through the Smart TV for a film night in and when eyes grow heavy, climb upstairs and indulge in a soothing soak in the bathroom or rinse your worries away in the overhead shower. Choose between three adorned bedrooms to rest your head, with a twin (zip/link king size on request), a double and a single bedroom. Head to the traditional seaside town of Scarborough, where you can stroll along the promenade with fresh fish and chips, marvel at marine creatures at SEA LIFE, or if that's not for you, unveil the past at Rotunda Museum or Scarborough Castle. Dalby Forest and Visitor Centre are great for walking and cycling and the ability to Go Ape in the treeline, and go to The North Yorkshire Moors Railway to experience life on board a steam train from various points between Pickering and Whitby. Find Boggle Hole, only a mile along the beach from the picturesque village of Robin Hood’s Bay nestled right on the high water line and Whitby, the birthplace of Dracula, across the North Yorkshire Moors. RSPB Bempton Cliffs is only a 10 mile drive from the door, with the impressive headland and lighthouses at Flamborough being only a few miles further along the Heritage Coast Walk. Sewerby Hall and Gardens, Burton Agnes Hall and Sledmere House are just over the county border into East Riding of Yorkshire as are seaside town of Bridlington, the market town of Driffield and the open countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. If walking is your preferred mode of travel, directly from the village, join the Wold’s Way or Centenary Way or complete circular walks to Gristhorpe, Hunmanby, Filey or Speeton, where you can marvel at the whole of Filey Bay from the Brigg to the white cliffs of Bempton. For a much-needed escape to the North and East Yorkshire coastline, the Yorkshire Wolds and Moors, whisk your loved ones to Eric House.
