The open plan kitchen/dining room has patio doors that open out to the 150ft enclosed garden, and the spacious, first floor living room means you are not short of areas to really enjoy that quality family time. The ground floor boasts three large bedrooms, one with en-suite, and a modern family bathroom.

Bay View Cottage is located in an ideal area close to the coast on the Cartmel Peninsula and a gateway to the southern part of the Lake District National Park. Cartmel, famous for its fabulous race days throughout the summer, is only a 5-minute drive away. If you love sticky toffee pudding, then this is a very important reason to visit this quaint little village! Also close by is the well-known, family owned estate of Holker Hall which offers a range of activities and some stunning gardens to walk round.

Newby Bridge is a short drive away, with the Aquarium of the Lakes and Windermere Lake Cruises. If water isn’t your bag and you prefer a more scenic tour into Windermere, then enjoy a leisurely train ride from the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam railway also at Newby Bridge.

If walking is more of what you are looking for, then you are spoilt for choice with 214 Wainwright fells in easy reach so you have plenty of options to choose from! Humphrey’s Head, where the last wolf in England was killed, can be found just 3 miles from the property. It is a beautiful nature spot and provides a panoramic view out over the estuary. Why not also visit Foulshaw Moss located just 9 miles away and home to nesting osprey, adders and other wildlife? There are also an abundance of cycling routes close by or if you want to go further afield, many other popular Lake District towns are ready to explore such as Ambleside, Grasmere and Ulverston, or why not head over to Grange-over-Sands, a wonderful seaside town? Beach 15 miles. Shop 530 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
