The Shippon, a former milking parlour, has been lovingly furnished to create a cosy yet sumptuous cottage for two. This charming cottage, located on the owners’ farm, is the perfect retreat if you’re looking for a relaxing break from everyday life.
As you enter, you will instantly feel at home as you step into the open plan living space. There is a well-equipped kitchen where you can look forward to cooking a hearty meal after a day in the fresh air. There is a comfortable double bedroom where you can wake up to the scenic surroundings, and a modern shower room. Outside, you can enjoy the private decked area, where you can pour a glass of chilled wine and take in the unspoilt landscape. Before retiring for the evening, be prepared to be amazed by the exceptional quality of the night sky, a real treat for star gazers.
Located in the heart of Devon, you will be spoilt for things to do with Dartmoor National Park nearby. This breathtaking landscape, rich with history and rare wildlife, is perfect for an array of activities including guided walks, horse riding, cycling, canoeing and climbing. Alternatively, North Devon is not far away, with its beautiful beaches and rugged coastline waiting to be explored. If you fancy a bit of retail therapy, why not head to Exeter, only a 30-minute car journey away. You are sure to be impressed with this vibrant city with its expansive range of shops, restaurants and for those more culturally inclined you can always visit Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum, local theatres or the cathedral.
