Sweet Rose, Old Manor Farm, Torquay

Devon. Sleeps up to 2

With a history that’s still visible in its historic features and contemporary touches to make guests feel at home, Sweet Rose is a 5 star barn conversion at Old Manor Farm. Enjoy the best of both worlds with a stay in this one bedroom retreat, which is part of a beautiful 16th century longhouse in the heart of South Devon. The perfect setting for some time away from the rest of the world, Sweet Rose has an open plan living space that makes a welcome spot to curl up together and chat about your day’s adventures, and if you look up you’ll see exposed oak beams and high, vaulted ceilings that have seen century after century. When the weather’s warm, step outside and you’ll find a communal garden enclosed with stone walls, and the apple trees from the old orchard add to the area’s charm as you while away sunny afternoons. There’s even a barbeque so you can dine alfresco…well this is Devon after all. When it’s time to retire for the evening, you’ll find a super king size bed that makes just the place to sink into and forget the world for the night, and the bathroom has its own surprise in the form of a lavish roll top bath for those long bubbly soaks…bliss. The nearby beach at Watcombe is accessed via a fairly steep slope, however its spectacular scenery and secluded, dog friendly beach make it a great spot for a walk with your pet. Please note: Sweet Rose can be booked together with Honeysuckle and The Barn to accommodate up to 14 guests. Sweet Rose is part of the complex which won the 2013 South West Hospitality Awards for the best self catering accommodation and was the runner up in 2014.
