The Crib is the perfect romantic bolt hole and a great place to enjoy all that South Devon has to offer, including being close to Dartmoor National Park.
A fabulous retreat accessed via electric gates, it is perfectly situated on the outskirts of the historic market town of Bovey Tracey which is perched on the edge of the dramatic Dartmoor National Park.
On entering the property, you are greeted by a remarkable living area with beautiful elevated ceilings, within this stylish room is a flame-effect gas fire, perfect for those cosy evenings, and a Smart TV.
From the living area there is a space saving staircase leading to a galleried area which is arranged as a snug. If you decide to stay in and cook, the well-equipped kitchen features an eye level electric oven and hob, built-in microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.
Following on from here, you have the master bedroom with king size bed and Smart TV. You will also find a spectacular shower room with shower and toilet.
Venture outside and you will find a large enclosed patio area with garden furniture and barbecue, with privacy in mind this is a great space for those summer evening meals. There is roadside parking available subject to availability.
Bovey Tracey is an ideal base if you want to explore the outstanding natural landscape of South Devon and the moorlands. Bovey Tracey is a beautiful and welcoming town where the winding streets and picturesque parks provide the perfect environment to relax in. Home to an array of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and attractions, it is the ideal place to unwind. Take a trip to one of the nearby beaches, with Shaldon, Holcombe and Ness Cove all within easy reach of the property.
Visit Dartmoor National Park with it’s rugged and stunning scenery. You can see the ponies, walk the Tors or simply stop off in one of the many villages for a Devon cream tea.
Paignton, Torquay and Brixham are also great places to visit, as are Exeter and Plymouth, both within 30 minutes’ drive. There are many National Trust properties, including Agatha Christie’s summer home ’Greenway’.
For the children, there is Crealy Adventure Park or Go Ape in Haldon. If you are bringing a bicycle, there are many cycle ways off road, including Powderham Castle where there is a cycle track all along the estuary.
There is also no shortage of day-trip destinations, including the Living Coasts Zoo, Round Robin Bus Trip, Paignton Zoo, Woodlands Adventure Park, Babbacombe Model Village and Kents Cavern.
