River Usk View accommodates six guests in three bedrooms and is tucked away in a privately owned, quiet, central area of Brecon Town (with its own parking) in the midst of The Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales.
From the windows of River Usk View just sit and admire the views across the roofscapes, over the River Usk Bridge and right down the river; there are some spectacular sunsets in all seasons looking west from here. This very comfortable and contemporary first floor Apartment is within minutes' walk of all the local shops, several butchers selling local meat - order ahead and take some home, an excellent bakers, antique shops, gift shops and many good pubs and restaurants.
The Castle Hotel perched overlooking the town with a lovely garden serves an excellent Sunday Lunch.
Visit the lovely "art deco" cinema - it shows a good selection of really up-to-date films.
From the door there are some lovely riverside, canal and local walks. There is excellent Trout and Salmon Fishing on the town water; www.wyeuskfoundation.org. for tickets.
A cycle track leading to the Taff Trail and Canal Towpath only 100yds away. Hire Mountain Bikes and have them delivered to the door.
This is an excellent place to stay for visitors without a car - from Brecon there is a good bus service and many helpful taxi drivers.
