Bibliophiles, make your way to the renowned ‘town of books’ with over twenty bookshops, Hay-on-Wye. If you travel in the late spring, make sure to attend the Hay Festival of Literature and Art where you’ll meet like-minded bookworms. A scenic drive away is Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where nature-lovers will be able to bask in panoramic woodland views and lavender fields; you can also visit the ruins of Clun Castle and end the day with a plateful of British cuisine at The Banc.
