This is the ideal place to start a short or long walk, along the tow path Brecon is less than 3 miles to the west passing over Brynich Aqueduct and Brynich Lock; or in the other direction Talybont-on-Usk has four thriving pub/restaurants - all providing good food, there is the village shop, canal side cafe and Post Office. Or you can choose to hike onto the Brecon Beacons and return via the village of Llanfrynach which is only a short distance along the road from the cottage. This is also ideal for mountain biking with the Taff Trail on the doorstop, to make it easier you can arrange for bikes to be delivered for your arrival. Walk along the canal to The Royal Oak in Pencelli - check opening times with owner.
