Tranquillity, situated in Haverigg, is the ideal base for anyone looking to visit the Lake District. You can sit and relax on the decked area, with a glass of your favourite tipple, and admire the lovely views out on to the Duddon estuary. Just 175 yards away is the local pub, where you can sample local ales and delicious food.

From here, explore the west coast that has lots to offer for the whole family, and then head into the heart of the Lake District and admire its spectacular views. 30 minutes away is the Ravenglass narrow gauge railway, known to the locals as the La’al Ratty, and it can take you 7 miles up to the village of Boot, that also boasts some stunning scenery.

Further along the coast is St Bees, with its relaxing beaches, lighthouse, café and bistro. You will find many hidden gems all along the coast, and on a clear day you can even see over to the Isle of Man. Lakes Windermere, Coniston and Wastwater are all within a 1-hour drive, making it an ideal base whatever your taste. Beach ¼ mile. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 175 yards.
