Alltwinau is a romantic, wonderfully remote and secluded oak beamed farmhouse, ideal for families, couples and groups. It is a perfect retreat if you want to get away from it all with birdsong and the murmur of the River Irfon for company. Located on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains and reached at the end of a long gated track shared only with the farm, approximately a quarter of a mile back down the track. Alltwinau stands completely alone, away from any other habitation, at the end of a 1 mile long track yet only 2.5 miles from the busy town of Llanwrtyd Wells with a small supermarket, shops, pubs and restaurants. It is ideal for completely getting away from it all and for all types of outside activities such as mountain biking, walking and fishing, with the River Irfon just below the house. The cottage has a large traditional open-plan flagstone kitchen /dining/sitting area with two comfy sofas around the original, working fireplace and a separate sitting room downstairs. The painted murals in the kitchen and in the bathroom are a very special feature and are admired by many of our guests.
