Muntham Holiday Apartments are situated in the Wellswood area of Torquay, a leafy residential area just a short distance from the harbour and town centre. The building is a fine example of a magnificent Victorian villa, built for a member of parliament and later a former Lord Chief Justice of Calcutta who named it ’Muntham’ which means ‘gentle breeze’ in Hindi. All the apartments are named after famous people who lived in Wellswood. The interior of the villa boasts an opulent main hall and staircase with high ceilings and beautiful Victorian plaster mouldings. These apartments are perfect for couples who want to explore the English Riviera region of south Devon. You can leave your car and walk 15 minutes into the lively and bustling resort of Torquay, with its abundance of shops, bistros, theatres and tourist attractions. Kents Caverns is just a 10-minute walk, and Meadfoot beach and Babbacombe village are both about 15 minutes’ walk away. The villa is set in gardens of almost 1 acre, which is unusual for Torquay, so there is plenty of space for all to find a relaxing spot to sit and read with a glass of wine or a coffee on a sunny day. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
