The Brecon Beacons National Park offers wonderful walking, stunning scenery and a steam railway, while the Vale of Neath is home to waterfall country with breathtaking sights to be enjoyed. The Big Pit National Coal Museum a designated (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) makes for an interesting day trip and the popular Festival Park shopping outlet, Super Tubing with the UK’s longest tube ride and Owl Sanctuary are all close by in Ebbw Vale. Visit Abergavenny for its popular food festivals and markets, or Crickhowell, popular for The Green Man Music Festival. Hay-on-Wye, famous for its books, is well worth visiting and further afield, Cardiff, Wales’ bustling capital city, offers an array of shopping, bars, restaurants, castle, museum, theatre and lively night life.
