A detached modern bungalow with 3 bedrooms located in a quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of the historic centre of Wells and the Wells Leisure Centre. Ideally situated to enjoy all the local amenities and even further afield, making this holiday accommodation ideal for families or groups of friends to get together. This cottage is nicely-presented with a spacious sitting room with a comfortable sofa and armchairs, making it a great place to relax after a full day out and about exploring the area. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare some lovely home-cooked meals. There are three nicely-presented bedrooms with the extra flexibility of a zip/link bed and a small double as well as a separate bathroom. Outside there is a lawned garden to the side and rear of the cottage, making a great place for the kids to let off some steam or even some alfresco dining. There is much to see in Wells including the magnificent Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace, home of the Bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years. The Vicars Close is the oldest residential street in Europe. Street markets are held on the Market Place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Enjoy a day in neighbouring Glastonbury visiting the Abbey, climbing the famous Tor or browsing in Glastonbury's quirky alternative shops. Go walking on the fabulous Mendip Hills. Discover the caves in Cheddar or at Wookey Hole. Be astounded by the stunning geological features of the Mendips, Cheddar Gorge, Burrington Combe or Ebbor Gorge. Take a cycling tour of the low-lying Peat Moors area. Visit the famous wetland nature reserves on the Peat Moors, habitat of the Booming Bitterns and the Great White Egret. From November to February you can experience the sight of hundreds of thousands of starlings going to roost at sunset. Take a trip to Clarks Village in Street where you can shop to your heart's content in the designer outlets. Further afield is the Roman City of Bath which is famous for its Abbey and the Roman Spa Baths. Spend time at the seaside at Burnham-on-Sea or at Berrow and Brean where there is a six-mile long stretch of sand. For something different you can immerse yourself in Somerset's markets culture, indulging yourself with artisan food, antiques, vintage and retro wares, hand-made ceramics, glass and artworks. Whatever you decide to do, the cottage will be an ideal place to enjoy a great holiday at any time of the year.
