Crooked Well is a historic, semi-detached stone cottage resting in the popular village of Timsbury, conveniently situated for access to Bath and Bristol. Originally built in the 1840s, the property now offers a homely base from which to spend quality time with your loved ones; enter into the dining room, conveniently situated so you can sit down and enjoy a warming cup of coffee after a day of exploring, before moving into the sitting room to retire for the evening. Flick on the freestanding, electric fire, which can be moved if an open fire is desired, and turn on the Smart TV for an evening of lighthearted entertainment; this room also boasts a sofa bed, perfect for those with limited mobility who don't want to tackle the stairs, with a convenient cloakroom being on this floor too. Timsbury has all of the self-catering essentials, including a Co Op, pharmacy and a delightful local shop all within walking distance, as well as a hair and a beauty salon. In the village square you will find the excellent Connie's tearoom and café, next to Our Plaice well-recommended for its fish and chips and varied take away menu, or take a walk in the opposite direction to the excellent pub/restaurant, ‘The Seven Stars’, the last of about 12 inns once in the village. There are plenty of small villages and towns to explore; Midsomer Norton of Midsomer Murders fame, with its excellent Sports and Leisure centre with swimming pool, as well as Keynsham and the beautiful little city of Wells. Visit the Chew Valley sailing lake, reservoir and bird reserve, also boasting easy access to both Cheddar and Glastonbury, while Street and the famous Clarks’ Outlet Village is within driving distance too. The seaside can be reached at Weston-Super-Mare, Brean and Burnham-on- Sea, while Bath is renowned for its Roman attractions and Georgian architecture; the only World Heritage city in the UK, with many well-known attractions within easy reach.
