The original farmhouse is believed to date back to Tudor times; retaining many character attributes and was once a part of Howey Hall Estate. Upon entering the cottage you will be welcomed by the inviting hallway with slate flagged floor and exposed stone wall, off the hallway there is a utility room, perfect for kicking off your walking boots after exploring the local area. The sizeable accommodation is set over two floors offering a great space for family to spread out. The sitting room enjoys views over the garden to the rolling countryside beyond, a perfect spot to relax and watch the vast variety of bird and wildlife, this room also benefits from a multi-fuel stove, an enchanting feature for cosy evenings. The dining room has dual aspect views over the garden to the surrounding rolling countryside, there is also further seating, a perfect spot to sit back and relax with a good book. The farmhouse style kitchen is well-equipped and also has a dining table, ideal for family breakfast whilst planning your days adventures together. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, all enjoying different aspects of the surrounding 70 acre livestock farm and countryside. Completing the holiday accommodation there are two bathrooms, a shower room to the ground floor and a bathroom to the first floor. You can also relax in the hot tub on the rear patio whilst admiring the rolling countryside views, a wonderful place for alfresco dining. There is also a lawned garden with well-stocked borders of shrubbery and trees attracting a variety of birds. The area is centrally located in the stunning Mid Wales countryside and is perfect for walking and cycling, with country walks directly from the lane, the area is renowned for its rolling hills and valleys; there is a wealth of interesting places to visit. You are also ideally placed to explore the Welsh Marches, with numerous outdoor activities such as golf and fishing, or perhaps enjoy the ambience of Abbeycwmhir Hall or experience the red kite feeding at Rhayader, the beauty of the Elan Valley Reservoirs, all just a short drive away. The Royal Welsh Showground is just over six miles away, whilst world-famous Hay-on-Wye offers quaint boutique-style shopping and renowned bookshops. This holiday cottage is certainly a perfect retreat for families to enjoy the myriad of walks, outdoor activities and stunning surrounding countryside, creating wonderful memories to cherish for years to come.
