Drive on to Windermere, where you can enjoy a wide variety of watersports on world-famous Lake Windermere, take in the scenery from the top of Queen Adelaide's Hill and Orrest Head, explore the popular World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, and feast on fresh seafood at Hooked. Bowness-on-Windermere is where you'll find three Michelin-starred restaurants, perfect for the foodies in your group. In addition to the Armitt Library and Museum Centre and the stunning Stock Ghyll Force, Ambleside also features a fascinating 2nd-century Fort, or you can venture further to Grasmere, where you can wander around the former home of the great poet, William Wordsworth.
