St Kilda is a detached cottage in a rural location on North Uist. The cottage sleeps six people in three ground floor bedrooms which are two double bedrooms and a twin room. There are two bathrooms, a kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room with an open fire and a dining room on the first floor. The cottage is set in 10 acres of lawned grounds and has off road parking for six cars. St Kilda is a fantastic rural retreat in an ideal location.

Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Town: The village of Lochmaddy is the terminus for the daily ferry linking it to Uig on the Isle of Skye and it is also the main centre of population for the island of North Uist. Lochmaddy has good facilities and services including a selection of hotels serving fresh local produce in their dining rooms. A visit to the award-winning museum and arts centre located in the centre of Lochmaddy is a must, and there is also a tourist office full of information about local events and places to visit. The road south of Lochmaddy will lead you to the village of Carinish some 10 miles away and if you continue on this road you can cross the causeway to the island of Benbecula. The town of Balivanich in Benbecula offers shops, post office, a bank, restaurant, a petrol station and an airport, from which car hire can be arranged. The causeway from Benbecula then leads onward to the island of South Uist.

Located in Isle of North Uist, this cottage is in a rural area and on a lake. Lochmaddy Ferry Terminal and North Uist Distillery are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Balranald RSPB Reserve and Balranald RSPB Reserve. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking nearby.
