Kitchen/dining room: With electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, Bluetooth sound system and selection of books and games.

Bedroom 4: With double bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet (also accessed via hallway).

Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced loch in the grounds.. Sunrise Apartment has its own private entrance at the rear of the property, where stairs lead up to the entrance on the first floor. The storm porch leads into the entrance hall where you will find boot racks and coat rails. The kitchen/dining room, really is the hub of the home and a spacious and inviting space, boasting excellent views from the double-aspect windows. The adjacent living room is also double-aspect with wonderful views to the east across Lochmaddy bay. This room has 3 comfortable sofas and the dining room has a well stocked bookcase catering for all ages. Along the hall are a single and two double bedrooms as well as a modern family bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs, you will find two more bedrooms, a double with en-suite shower room, and a twin. The Sunrise Apartment offers wonderful views of the hills and landscape and across to Skye.

On North Uist, lochans and bays intermingle with peat bog making for the unique and magical ‘drowned landscapes’ of the island The Uists are also blessed with miles of white shell-sand beaches on the west coast, and there are several prehistoric sites across North Uist including the huge chambered burial cairn of Barpa Langais. The walking and cycling is outstanding. Many ancient routes have been joined together to form the Hebridean Way. You’ll see red deer, occasional visitors to the garden, otters and many types of rare bird species, including the corncrake. There is also the largest colony of grey seals in Europe.

Sunrise Apartment in Lochmaddy is perfectly placed to explore the Isles of North Uist, Berneray, Benbecula, South Uist and Eriskay- all easily accessible by road. You can also take the smaller, regular ferries and hop across to Harris, from Berneray which is very close to Lochmaddy, and also Barra, from Eriskay in the south. The village has shops, an arts/visitor centre and café, a great pub and restaurants in the village hotels. All you need is within walking distance when you’re not out and about exploring. North Uist is an anglers’ paradise with its famous wild brown trout and mixture of freshwater and salt water lochs. Kayaking, wind surfing and para-boarding opportunities abound, and water sport activities are available from the local outdoor centre. Beach 7 miles. Shop 50 yards, pub, Arts centre, cafe, and restaurants 300 yards (takeaway meals available).
