Conveniently located on the A3124, you will be close to the village of Beaford some 0.8 miles away with its arts centre and 5 miles from the Cavalier Town of Torrington, making it a convenient place to holiday, being close to a huge range of amenities such as RHS Rosemoor Gardens and Torrington 1646. Watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal before enjoying a traditional Devon cream tea in the adjoining restaurant. Other interesting places to visit include Clovelly, a cliff side fishing village with steep cobbled streets leading down to the harbour. The market town of Bideford with its weekly pannier market, Burton Art Gallery, Victoria Park and historic quayside are worth a look. For those who enjoy walking or cycling the Tarka Trail (a former railway line which runs from Braunton Meeth) is nearby and offers a safe and level walkway for children and adults alike, with a few welcome watering holes along the way. You will be situated within easy driving distance to both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks. On entering the cottage, you will discover it retains many of its original features including exposed beams, wooden flooring low ceilings and some low/narrow doorways. The Lounge has a feature inglenook fireplace, Smart TV , DVD, ipod dock and lovely views over the patio and garden. Smaller cosy lounge with woodburner, Smart TV, Blueray player and hi fi, excellent for quiet time or a separate area for children. Leading then to the Dining room which perfect for special occasions, with inglenook fireplace, woodburner, table football table and hi fi. The family sized kitchen is also on the ground floor with a range of fitted units, dishwasher, dual fuel cooker, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, TV and many useful extras. Along with a handy Utility room ideal for storage of shoes and coats or fishing rods, surfboards and bicycles. And 2 separate and convenient WCs are also located on the ground floor. The accommodation also offers split levels with four bedrooms all on the first floor which is perfect for two families holidaying together. These bedrooms can be accessed via 2 separate staircases. The first stairway takes you up to 1 twin and 1 master double with exposed beams, Smart TV, DVD, washbasin and vanity unit along with a separate bathroom with shower over bath and WC and a separate shower room. The second staircase leads to 2 spacious bedrooms, one which can be configured either as a Super King double or as a twin and the second a twin as well as another family bathroom. There is an interconnecting passage between the 2 middle bedrooms which can be open or closed depending on your party make up. Heading outside you can find a 2 acre, fully fenced and enclosed rear garden and patio area with BBQ and garden furniture perfect for alfresco dining.There is also ample off road parking at the front of the cottages.
