Old Orchard Barn is a comfortable, beautifully decorated and convenient well-appointed holiday bungalow. Within an easy 10 minute drive to Brecon, the bungalow is dog friendly and wonderfully secluded. Guests will love the stunning views across the Usk Valley and to the foothills of the Brecon Beacons. Looking across the valley there is virtually no light pollution and wonderful for looking at the night sky. There s a telescope at the bungalow but this is mainly for watching the numerous birds in the valley.
This is the perfect place to stay for visitors looking for a peaceful holiday; it would certainly suit some of our older guests or active families alike with plenty of outdoor activies nearby including Llangorse Activity Centre with its state of the art climbing wall and Cantref Adventure Farm loved by children of all ages, both that have pony trekking centres and mountain bikes can be hired locally in Talybont village.
There is parking right beside the door, and there aren't any steps or stairs.
Old Orchard Bungalow is at the end of a quiet lane in the hamlet of Scethrog, just five miles from Brecon. Below the bungalow is a field with grazing sheep or cattle. You can walk to Llangorse Lake from the cottage, or over to The Allt ... a nearby hill that has the most glorious views. There are several local pubs within a few minutes' drive.
