Brynes Cottage is just a 15-minute stroll from the golden sands of Bannow Island beach, site of the ’buried city’ of Bannow and where the Normans first landed in 1169. It is in an ideal location being almost equidistant from New Ross town, 20 miles away and Wexford, 19 miles away. New Ross is the ancestral home of J.F. Kennedy, with its colourful marina, weekly farmer’s market, Ros Tapestry and magnificent Dunbrody Famine Ship. The medieval town of Wexford has its infamous Opera House, fine eateries and traditional pubs.
A particular feature of this cottage are the extensive ornamental gardens with numerous seating areas including a large pergola with garden furniture, perfect for al fresco dining, huge deck and colourful benches dotted around amongst mature shrubs. Inside is a cosy living room with the original panelled ceiling and welcoming multi-fuel burner, as well as a bright conservatory opening onto the garden. This area has a great tradition of Irish music and dancing and hosts the annual Phil Murphy music festival and within a short drive are many attractions including Hook Lighthouse, Tintern Abbey and the haunted Loftus Hall! Beach ½ mile. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 200 yards.. Approximate distance to Dublin airport is 184 km
