Ashford Cottage, an idyllic escape for 4, is perched high up on hillside with magnificent views across The Usk Valley, yet is just a short walk from the ever popular village of Talybont-on-Usk. This cottage ticks the box for a great many people, secluded and remote yet accessible - this is a perfect retreat, while at the same time is perfectly placed for cycling, walking and all sorts of outdoor activities .Reached up a private track (200 metres from the field gate) - Ashford Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. The property is very simply styled ,giving it the perfect feeling of being able to relax in comfort and retains lots of the original features, especially the lovely old black and red quarry tiles and the arched chapel style windows.
With walks from the door down the lane and along the canal -it is easy to reach the village and its many facilities.

The kitchen has an electric cooker with a microwave, a fridge and a separate freezer, dishwasher, a Belfast sink, and a large farmhouse table to enjoy meals together.

The sitting room with the chapel style windows has the most fabulous views down the valley. A Laura Ashley sofa and chairs, TV with Freeview DVD player and a great wood burning stove with plenty of wood supplied to make sure you are toasty on a winters evening.
Up a flight of wooden stairs to two bedrooms:
Master Bedroom - again with the stunning views has a double bed.
Bedroom 2 - has matching twin beds and views up to the woodland above the cottage.
Family bathroom - with an attractive freestanding roll top bath, hand basin and toilet.

Talybont On Usk, the village that has something for everyone. For the more energetic the area offers cycling, mountain biking,(bikes available for hire in the village) walking, canoeing or for those looking for a more relaxed holiday the village pubs, caf? and restaurant offer a great place to sit, relax and watch the world go by. Go for a canal ride on Bens Boat or a leisurely walk along the canal towpath.
The area has loads to offer ?mountains, hills, rivers, canal, waterfalls, reservoir, woods, wildlife, and the locals are very friendly too!
