Glyndwr's Way is another lovely route to wander and escape the hustle and bustle, whilst the breath-taking Elan Valley is a little further afield. Venture into the Shropshire Hills AONB, known for its charming villages and waterways, including the small town of Clun; explore the ruins of Clun Castle, local history at Clun Town Trust Museum, and the Clunton Coppice Nature Reserve. Presteigne is also nearby, whilst over the Welsh border you'll find Ludlow, home to the fascinating Ludlow Castle which often hosts markets, fayres and concerts.
