A charming and well-kept Welsh stone cottage in a courtyard setting, built in the early 1980's on the site of an apple orchard. With lovely views of the surrounding mountains and set in the small village of Cwmdu, it is a perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. Walk down the lane a couple of minutes to the excellent village pub - The Farmers Arms (recently re-opened as a very friendly and highly recommended community pub and restaurant 2018 ), or stroll down the lane and enjoy a wonderful breakfast/lunch or tea in the excellent village cafe. Mountain bikes can also be hired in the village or enjoy the walks from the door up into the hills. Be sure Behind the cottage the hills rise up to the Black Mountains and there is miles of wonderful hill walking right from the door.

Sleeps 4, 2 bedrooms.

The kitchen has a four ring electric cooker, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, washing machine, kitchen table and chairs.

The sitting room has sofa and chairs, a woodburning stove, electric storage heaters and French windows out to the garden. TV, DVD, CD and radio.

Downstairs Cloakroom with wash hand basin and toilet.

Bedroom 1: a pretty double bedroom with lovely views across the Usk Valley

Bedroom 2: a second double bedroom, both with lovely views in both directions across to the mountains.

Bathroom: with a good shower, handbasin and toilet.

Behind this pretty village cottage is a small enclosed garden - perfect to enjoy the view and relax.
