If the weather becomes inclement, there is a leisure centre along the seafront within a mile. Visit Arundle and its splendid castle, the restored home of the Duke of Norfolk, Bignor Roman Villa and Fishbourne Roman Palace, the largest Roman building ever discovered in Britain and which was built around 75AD. The National Trusts Petworth house and village is a lovely day out. Enjoy the theatre in Chichester, the races at Goodwood or take a day trip to Portsmouth and see the historic Dockyard, where the Mary Rose, HMS Warrior and Nelson’s ship ’The Victory’ are now conserved. In the other direction lies Brighton, where you can stroll along the iconic Palace Pier and visit the magnificent Royal Pavillion. Beach 150 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
