This lovely cottage, approximately 500 years old, has been tastefully renovated to provide comfortable holiday accommodation for up to four guests. The terraced cottage offers a master double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a lovely large bathroom. Relax in the spacious living room with parquet flooring, and unwind beside the cosy wood burner. Outside, the property offers an enclosed lawned garden, private parking and bike storage. There are many comforts provided to ensure a pleasant stay including a travel cot, highchair and stairgate, along with a DVD player, compact stereo with CD player and ample board games to keep the kids entertained.
Located near the village of Glynneath, the property is ideal for holiday makers wanting to get out into the open countryside and explore the area on foot or on bike. There are plenty of walks to be had in the area, with the Four Waterfalls located just over 3½ miles away. There is a canal just 500 yards from the property and is a nice walk. The Brecon Beacons, home to the largest mountain in South Wales, Pen y Fan, are approximately half an hour’s drive away, and the BikePark Wales in Merthyr Tydfil, renowned for its great mountain biking tracks, is 11 miles from the cottage. Afan bike track is 15 miles and Glynneath golf course is only a 10-minute drive away.
Dan yr Ogof Caves are 13 miles from the cottage, and are worth a visit. If you fancy a day at the beach then there are several to choose from with Aberavon beach 15 miles away, and Mumbles beach, in the town of Swansea, a 20-minute drive away. Whatever you decide to do on this holiday the cottage will be a great base, come back, take a dip in the bath and relax. Beach 15 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
