Cynfin Old House situated on a busy working livestock farm, is part of a wonderful barn conversion with the most remarkable panoramic views across The Usk Valley to the Brecon Beacons beyond. Walks straight up to The Beacons Way. This lovely renovated seventeenth century stone barn nestles beside Cynfin Barn and Stable on the slopes of The Black Mountains above Tretower and its fascinating fully restored medieval Manorhouse and tower - the remains of the Norman motte and bailey

The workmanship in this renovated barn is superb, with locally grown oak used for the doors, windows, floors and stairs.

The kitchen with its' heavy oak latched door, is well fitted with an electric cooker, halogen hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tall fridge and freezer. Kitchen table and chairs.

A downstairs cloakroom with hand basin and toilet.

The sitting room is full of character with the oak beams, leather sofa and chairs and a reclining chair. A wood burning stove with a good supply of logs and Flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD.

Upstairs to:

Master Bedroom 1: A king sized bed and an en-suite shower room

Bedroom 2: A bedroom with King Size bed (zip and link) that can also become a twin and an en-suite shower room.

This cottage really has been restored with great empathy - with underfloor heating.

The closest pub is The Farmers Arms in Cwmdu - one mile walk across the fields but a bit further along the lanes by car, they offer good food and a pint. The other closest place to eat is The Nant-y-ffin Cider Mill just outside Crickhowell .
